AWARDS BANQUET INVITE

Banquet is still on!  As of Saturday morning, Indiana D.O.T. is improving roads by the minute.  Delaware County Fairgrounds are just about done plowing.  We are going to continue on as plan.  Hope to see everyone there!  If you have RSVP'd and cannot make it, please call 317-281-3803 or 317-281-4202 as early as possible.  We will not have access to the internet past 12:00 p.m. so please call us direct.  We feel by 5 p.,m. the roads will be pretty decent.

We are pleased to announce that this year's awards banquet will be catered by Pete's Duck Inn of Albany, Indiana.

NHRA CHASSIS CERTIFICATION

Call 317-281-3803 or email at himes5263@yahoo.com to schedule your appointment time.  We will also be doing our annual Muncie Dragway inspections on that day as well.

Also, new for 2010 will be the Racers' Advisory Council.  This will consist of two racers from each class to help bridge the communication gap between the racers and the track.  All considerations in the Junior Dragster Class will be for parents, not the racer.  We are accepting nominations of racers you would like to see in this position.  Please email your nominations to himes5263@yahoo.com for consideration.  The council members will be announced and introduced at the banquet.

Planned Improvements for 2010

We will be replacing and lengthening the cement burnout boxes.  This will eliminate some of the sharp asphalt and uneven wear at the waterboxes.  We will be repairing staging lanes and repainting all of the staging lane stripe dividers and numbers.  Also, we will be removing and pressing the rocks to help eliminate some of the ill effects from too many rocks.  We will be taking the first steps necessary to start connecting the drainage from the return road to the race track and filling in the ditch so we can add a second lane on to the return road later on.
