Admission

Every ticket is a FREE pit pass!  All spectators must enter through the spectator gate.  Regular admission prices do not apply for select special events.

 
 
Parking

 

Spectator parking is FREE on the West side of the track, in the main spectator parking area.  The pits (East side of track) are intended for race cars only at all Saturday Night races.  Pit parking is allowed only by paying a $5 pit parking fee.  Thank you for your cooperation.

FAST & FURIOUS NIGHT CANCELLED

May 9th Friday Night Fast & Furious has been cancelled due to weather.

 

RE-FORMATTING TIME TRIALS!

At Muncie Dragway we will always make whatever changes to our program that are necessary to improve our race.  We tried open time trials and the problem is we have different formats for all our classes; therefore, it was hard to run an open time trial session (i.e., 1/8 mile, 1/4 mile etc.)

We are moving to time trials by class.  When you are called to the lanes, your class will run until finished.  This will keep each class from sitting in staging a long time.  This will be one time run per session. We will attempt to give all classes as many time runs as possible. 

We will still have Dial for Dollars as our last time shot.  This costs $5.00 to enter and the winner closest to their dial-in receives half the pot.

We will, however, keep open time trials for our Big Bucks Shootouts due to the fact that we only have two classes.

Welcome to the New Muncie Dragway

Dave & Dianne Himes announce their new ownership of the Muncie Dragway!  The Himes family is best known in the automotive industry for the past three generations.  After being involved in drag racing for the past 25 years, they saw the opportunity to take their home track to the next level of professionalism and customer satisfaction.  It is their main objective to prove to their customers that customer satisfaction is truly the Himes family tradition and has been for over 40 years.  Dave and Dianne have 2 children, Jonathon 18 and Katelyn 16.

"We are making long strides in the department of a facility renovation and a new hands-on approach to facility management and customer care.  We hope you take the opportunity to come out and try the New Muncie Dragway and meet the Himes family.  We will show you what you've been missing."

RACE OF CHAMPIONS DRAGSTER GIVEAWAY
The 2008 Points Championship is a $12,000 guaranteed purse. . .but wait, that's not all!

 

Top finishers for 2008 will each get a piece of the very large points fund payouts (all monies donated by sponsors).  In addition to the guarantee, if Muncie Dragway reaches a minimum of 150 total racer participants (class minimums as follows: Super Pro - 40; Pro - 40; Sportsman - 40; and Bikes - 30), then they will give away a NEW DRAGSTER to the winner of the "Race of Champions" on October 25th, 2008.
